Do you know how cosmetic packaging usually prints logos?

Printing has evolved over the years since it was first documented in China about 1800 years ago. Have we reached the pinnacle of printing with the latest printing method introduced in 1991 in the form of "digital printing"? As assert about new printing processes, let's take a look at the most common printing processes that have shaped the industry as we know it.

The main industrial printing processes are:

1. Offset printing

2. Flexography

3. Screen printing

4. Rotogravure

5. Others - transfer printing,resin plate printing,light printing,Web page printing,flexographic printing

Screen printing is the most common printing technique in which a mesh is used to transfer the ink (or dye) to the substrate, except in areas where the ink cannot penetrate by blocking the stencil. The blade or squeegee moves across the screen to fill the open mesh cells with ink, then reverse the stroke to bring the screen into momentary contact with the substrate along the contact line. This causes the ink to wet the substrate and be pulled out of the mesh as the screen bounces back after the blade passes.

Only one color can be printed at a time.

Traditionally, silk is used for this process. Currently, synthetic threads are commonly used in the screen printing process. Generally the most popular mesh is made of polyester. The screen printing machine has nylon, stainless steel and other special mesh materials to choose from. There are also different types of grid sizes that will determine the result and appearance of the finished design on the material.

This technology is not only used for clothes printing, it is also very often used for printing on cosmetic packaging boxes, like lipstick tubes packaging, compact powder packaging,

If you want to customize the packaging of a compact powder, the supplier will usually ask if you need to print the logo? If you say yes, they will ask you how many colors are printed.

If you want to customize the packaging of a compact powder, the supplier will usually ask if you need to print the logo? If you say yes, they will ask you what color the annoying logo is.

The reason why you ask this question is that silk screen printing is the most common printing method. If there is no special requirement, the logo will usually be screen printed, and the cost of silk screen logo will be affected by how many colors your logo has. The more colors you need, the more you need to do. Multiple printings will cost more.

For example, this frosted lipstick tube is a white one-color silk screen.

This is a green lipstick tube, it is also a white one-color silk screen.
