Cosmetic packaging mainly includes plastic bottles, glass bottles, tubes, airless bottles, etc., which more or less involve hot stamping.

A. Must choose the right foil according to the different materials being foil.

The main material of foil stamping is aluminum (also called gold foil), which is made of polyester film as a sheet base Kodak, coated with an alcohol-soluble dyeing resin layer, coated with metal aluminum by vacuum spraying, and then coated with an adhesive layer. That is, it is composed of base film layer, alcohol-soluble dyeing resin layer (which can also be divided into isolation layer and dyeing layer), aluminum layer and adhesive layer.

The base film layer is the carrier film for the other layers of the aluminum foil and plays a supporting role. The material used for the base film layer is 12-16μm thick polyester film.

The isolation layer can make the dyeing layer of the aluminum foil and the base film layer easy to separate when stamping.

The dyeing layer is used to show the color publication dynamics of the  aluminum foil.

The aluminum layer can make the aluminum foil present a metal-like luster, aluminum is a very good light-reflecting material, and gaseous aluminum can be evenly attached to the surface of the dyeing layer under vacuum. The common one is aluminum flip top cap.

The adhesive layer is used to make the aluminum foil coating bonded to the substrate when stamping, and to protect the role of the aluminum layer.

B. Cutting to master the speed and direction of the turning tool

When cutting, first let the turning knife fly, and then gently advance. Eat knife should be suspended to advance, so that the turning tool again start to fly when gradually advance. Do not fast advance or eat knife when hard into, cutting aluminum stamping foil rotation direction should be opposite to the direction of the label arrow.

C. Selection of properties suitable for the paper, ink, glue, etc.

It can often be seen on soft tubes and aluminum bottles.

To obtain the ideal hot stamping effect, hot stamping used in the aluminum foil must meet the following requirements: the bottom layer of color coating uniform packaging logistics, no obvious color difference, color stripes and color spots; bottom glue coating uniform, smooth, white, no impurities, no obvious stripes, sand points and oxidation; good gloss; strong solidity; high clarity; correct model.

D. Storage should be placed upright, anti-pressure, moisture, heat and sun protection. Keep in a cool and ventilated place. Such as cosmetic boxes.

Stamping foil can be divided into general type (generally used for ABS, PVC, PS, PC), special type (PP color foil, generally used for PP, PE) and common type (ABS, PP applicable, this foil has better temperature resistance). There are two major types of foil for stamping: rolls of foil and sheets of foil. Roll simple foil can be distinguished into different models according to the bearing material, mainly No.1, No.8, No.12, No.15, No.18 and common type, such as gold, silver, brown-red, light blue, black, big red, green, etc. according to its color.
